Intro/ A photography and experimental graphic layout project, capturing the unique play of shadows in Bologna's medieval architecture, specifically its iconic porticoes.

Problem/ The challenge was to translate the city's characteristic medieval atmosphere into a visually cohesive and powerful series, while emphasizing the stark contrast of light and shadow in black and white.

Process/ I started by exploring the key visual elements of the city, focusing on how the porticoes cast dramatic shadows throughout the day. The photography emphasizes the interplay between architecture and light. I chose a strong black-and-white aesthetic to enhance the contrast, using minimalistic layouts and bold typography for the graphic presentation.

Result/ The outcome is a striking and experimental visual project—rich in contrast and intensity, blending architecture and design. It represents a significant step in both my personal exploration of the city and my professional development in photography and graphic design.
