Intro/ A brand identity project for El Postigo, a traditional artisan market in the heart of Seville, focused on modernizing its image while staying true to its cultural roots to appeal to tourists.
Problem/ The challenge was to refresh the market's identity, making it more visually appealing to international visitors while retaining the authenticity of its artisan roots, reflected in the traditional fabrics and crafts sold at the market.
Process/ I began by studying the vibrant colors found in the traditional fabrics and crafts of Seville, incorporating these into the brand's color palette. The goal was to bring life and energy into the visual identity, while the modernized logo and typography ensured a contemporary, sleek look. The new identity combined these rich, vibrant tones with clean and modern design elements to strike a balance between tradition and modernity, making the market more attractive to tourists. Signage, packaging, and promotional materials were designed to be bold yet welcoming, with a clear focus on enhancing the visitor experience.
Result/ The result is a fresh, modern brand identity that highlights the rich colors and traditions of Seville while making El Postigo more engaging for tourists. The project helped reposition the market as a lively, must-visit destination in the city, blending authenticity with a contemporary appeal. This project was a key step in honing my skills in cultural branding and visual storytelling.
